RiVo Screen

Software that turns 8.1" and 6.25" motorcycle head units into RiVo's handlebar display, running from an SD card. RiVo on your phone is the brain; the screen is the eyes and ears.

How it works

The phone does the work

Routing, navigation, intercom, assistant and music run in the RiVo app on your phone.

The unit shows it

The unit connects to your phone over Wi-Fi and draws the map itself; your phone does not mirror its screen.

Pull the card, back to factory

The software boots from the SD card and never writes to the unit's memory. Remove the card and the unit returns to its factory software.

What works and what is coming — plainly.

This list is based on tests on the development unit and is updated as the software moves on.

  • Every setting from your phone, queued even while the unit is off
  • Over-the-air updates with automatic rollback

  • Front and rear camera recording, playback on the unit
  • Watching recordings on your phone and saving them to the gallery

Hardware

Which units?

The software recognises the unit at boot and adapts the display, text size and features to it. The unit can also be picked on the unit under Settings › Device.

On 6.25" units text is larger by default and only the simpler ride layouts are offered; pages for hardware the unit lacks are hidden. There is no install package for other units yet.

Getting one

RiVo Screen is not for sale.
